New signing Retrakt opens his account on Terra Firma with the brutal 2-track ‘Scum / Mix It Up’. Forget subgenres, the man from Nottingham is not one to mess around, this is straight up Drum & Bass that hits hard and you are getting it whether you like it or not.

Featuring Haribo on the mic, ‘Scum’ is an absolute griller. Greasy basses and tribal percussion set the tone for a dark dingy journey centred around the froth which lives on top of murky water. Crisp and bouncy drums are at the centre of ‘Mix It Up’. If you aren’t paying attention you could get caught out by the behemoth-like growls. Full of energy, Retrakt is not for the faint hearted.
